Job Responsibilities

  • Installation and Servicing of fire alarm systems equipment.  
  • Perform programming, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs on fire alarm systems.
  • Maintain customer project documentation and create as-built drawings according to company standards.
  • Interact with customers and other contractors to properly communicate and coordinate work to achieve successful projects.
  • Adhere to all company and industry safety standards and maintain a safe working environment at all times.

 Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in installing fire alarm systems and other related special systems equipment. 
  • Basic networking skills
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Occasional overnight travel required.
  • Minimum, one current Manufacturer Certification to program proprietary fire alarm systems.
  • Preferred NICET Level II or higher.
  • Preferred Gamewell-FCI E3 system Manufacturer Certification.

Physical Requirements

Work requires exposure to construction site environments having temperature extremes, dust, fumes, smoke, hazardous substances and loud noise levels. Up to 70% of the job may include heavy physical work, heavy lifting, pushing or pulling of material that may weigh from 50 to 100 pounds. The position requires the incumbent to climb and work from ladders, scaffolds or aerial lifts, stand or walk for long periods, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, crawl and work in awkward positions or confined spaces for several hours at a time.

The position requires the unrestricted use of hands, arms, shoulders and the upper and lower back as well as visual acuity and depth perception. Pulmonary capacity must be sufficient to permit use of an air purifying respirator, if required.
