Wilson Electric, the preferred electrical
contractor for the Arizona Diamondbacks, was a major player in constructing
Chase Field. Construction began in 1995 and was completed
for opening day March 31, 1998. Wilson Electric was one member of
the approximately 60 contractors and subcontractors that formed
quite a team of players for Chase Field. The facility has
a retractable roof that spans almost 5.25 acres, a natural grass
playing surface, air conditioning, 69 luxury suites, 6 party boxes,
a swimming pool and at capacity holds 49,000 fans! Wilson Electric's
approximate 120 man crew had the task of running miles of electrical
cable and conduit, securing energy efficient lighting, providing
fiber optic cabling, and then integrating all of the special system
into one. The special systems that where provided by NETSIAN Technologies
Group, a division of Wilson Electric, included retractable roof
controls, closed circuit television, access control and HVAC temperature
controls. Overall - Chase Field was a team effort that built
a landmark for the Valley of the Sun. |

Wilson Electric was the subcontractor
of choice for the ISTB1 project at Arizona State University. Along
with Gilbane, Wilson Electric is building a facility that is an
education and research lab in the center of campus. The facility
is 145,000 square feet with 2 stories below grade, 4 stories above
with a penthouse. An example of what sets this project apart from
others, a normal building with emergency power would have two sources
of power, one normal and one emergency. This building has 5 sources
of power which shows the detail and redundancy needed in order to
have this building be "live" 24/7/365 - regardless of
situation. |

This 88,000 square foot (new) and
75,000 square foot (remodel) project was began by Wilson Electric
in 2002. The project expanded the existing terminal 70 feet to the
north along the 700 foot long façade of both the ticketing
and baggage level. It was constructed in two separate phases to
keep the terminal in complete operation 24 hours a day, seven days
a week.

"Wilson Electric played a major
part in this projects success" said Don Scott of Sun State
Builders. This design-build project included a building, garage
and tenant build-out. It is 210,000 square feet and was finished
in 11 months! The building is a three-story tilt building which
features EFIS accents and low-e bronze glass. Wilson Electric partnered
with Sun State Builders and we look forward to working together
again.
